Type RD125 and RD160 - RIMDRIVE The silent Bow bolts The RIMDRIVE has a unique design. In this Propulsion, the Propeller is part of the electric motor (rotor) and the so-called stator (stationary part of the electric motor) is integrated into the outside of the tunnel tube. This results in a very compact design. Thanks to the combination of ideally shaped propeller blades with a ring that encloses them (no gaps between the propeller blades and the tunnel), the Rimdrive is completely cavitation-free (no noise). The internal rotor motor is very quiet. The only thing you hear during operation is the splashing of the water. The RIMDRIVE is available in 125 and 160 kgf and requires a supply voltage of 48 volts DC. The 48VDC can either be supplied by a 110/230VAC connected to a 48VDC Chargers or by converting the normal 12V or 24V battery supply voltage using a DC to DC converter solution. The panel (BPJP) and Interfaces (RDIF) must be ordered separately.
