Type ILT, universal inspection cover for tanks Innovative inspection cover in a robust design The VETUS ILT is an innovative inspection cover with a flange-in-ring design, which makes it easy to open, even after the cover has been closed for a long time. The inspection opening has a counter flange with a rubber seal which is inserted into a 159 mm opening in the tank. All you have to do now is tighten the four supplied mounting screws. The "clamp and seal" principle simplifies installation enormously, so the main task here is simply to drill a 159mm hole in the tank. Since the pressure required for sealing is only on the outer ring, there is no need to work against the friction when opening. The ILT not only fulfills the minimum requirements according to ISO/FDIS 21487: "Diesel tanks must have an inspection hatch of at least 120mm diameter. These must be located at suitable points to allow cleaning and maintenance to be carried out down to the lowest point of the tank." In addition, all other connections can remain as they are.
