Type Gas detector GD1000 Panel and sensor - GAS DETECTORS The VETUS gas detector, type GD1000, not only warns of propane, butane, methane and hydrogen, but also of carbon monoxide. The device is supplied with a sensor that can detect all the above-mentioned flammable gases (e.g. bottled gas) as well as carbon monoxide. A second sensor available as an accessory can be used as a "sniffer" in an Other room. The Gas detector is switched on or off with the "Power" Switches. "Valve" can be used to switch a shut-off valve that can be fitted to the gas system. If this gas shut-off valve is open (or has not been installed), it will continuously search for gases when the valve is closed with interruptions. If the Gas detector detects an excessively high concentration of gases and/or CO, an acoustic alarm is triggered and a Light emitting diode lights up on the control panel. The acoustic alarm can be switched off with "Mute". The gas detector is equipped with three outputs: One output for a fan, which is automatically activated in the event of an alarm. The fan can also be switched on manually using the "Fan" Switches. An output for any shut-off valve installed in the gas system, which is automatically actuated in the event of an alarm. A horn or Other alarm device can be connected to the third output for an external alarm. Low battery voltage is signaled by an Acoustic alarm and a flashing LED on the control panel. The sensors, as well as the three outputs for blower, gas shut-off valve and external alarm, can be checked using a test switch.
