The VETUS flexible Clutches model Uniflex offer a solution to this problem. In addition to the properties of the VETUS Clutches presented on this page, they offer the additional advantage of being able to compensate for shaft misalignment of up to 2º with the reversing gear. In addition, they center the Shafts on the reversing gear. The Uniflex coupling is therefore an ideal flexible medium for a propeller shaft system with a freely suspended inner bearing and a Motor on flexible motor supports. If the Shafts actually form an angle of 2º with the Motor, the maximum permissible Speed is limited to 1500 rpm at the Shafts. These couplings are axially and radially sealed against breakdown. These Clutches are not suitable for V Gearboxes.
