Type BC - BATTERY CHARGER Specially for use on ships These new Battery chargers have a four-stage IUoU charging characteristic: In the first main charging stage, the battery receives a continuous maximum current charge. Once the battery is charged to approximately 75% of its full capacity, the charger automatically switches to a constant voltage absorption stage for the remaining 25%. When the battery is fully charged, the charger will maintain the charging stage for 15 minutes (provided the charge is below 6.25% of the charging current) and then switches to the float charge stage. At this stage, the battery charger maintains the full charge without overcharging the Batteries. It compensates for self-discharge and "floats" with the load on the battery. After warming up in the Float stage for 12 days, the Chargers performs the final reconditioning stage. In this phase, the Chargers switches to the Bulk stage for only 85 minutes to ensure that the battery remains in an optimal condition. Simple accessible DIP Switches allow the maximum charging voltage to be adjusted to suit the type of battery. These Chargers are suitable for all AC voltage sources from 90 V to 265 V. Active power factor correction takes care of unwanted line interference. VETUS Battery chargers are extensively tested, including a 2G vibration test, to meet our quality standards and ensure long-term operation. These new chargers are compatible with lead-acid, Li-ion, GEL batteries and AGM batteries and can be connected to a Remote control (BCRP) and battery temperature sensor (BCTS). The Chargers have a separate alarm contact and the fan speed can be adjusted for convenience.
