SmarterTrack Express is a new marine navigation software package that turns your Windows notebook into a fully featured electronic navigation system. Our high-precision GPS160 TriNav GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO sensor is included. The sensor is powered directly from your PC's USB port. All you have to do is install the software and the notebook functions as a user-friendly and powerful chart plotter. The TriNav technology uses both GPS and Galileo as well as the Russian GLONASS system to calculate your position with an accuracy of less than 1m. The data is output at a speed of up to 18Hz. Benefit from the data of two completely separate and independent positioning systems. If required, you can also permanently mount the sensor. SmarterTrack has all the normal navigation functions such as waypoints, routes and tracks and supports weather data, AIS overlays and CPA and TCPA alarms. The user interface is designed to be easy to use by touchscreen as well as by mouse or trackpad. SmarterTrack is suitable for all PCs with Windows from version XP up to the current Windows 8.1 and Window 10 operating systems. SmarterTrack works with Navionics charts, which are copied from their normal SD card format to the PC hard disk and are then also available for suitable chart plotters from other manufacturers such as Raymarine, Lowrance, B&G, Humminbird and Simrad. This means that a combination of plotter and PC can also be installed on board. Since the system is completely portable, it is ideal for charter Skippers who can convert their laptop into a large-format chart plotter at a fraction of the cost of a separate plotter.
