Digital Yacht SEATALK 1 to USB Converter

DESCRIPTION From the 1990s until around 2012, almost all Autohelm, Raymarine and some Raytheon products were built to SeaTalk standard. SeaTalk is still widely used worldwide and many boat owners are looking for a solution to convert SeaTalk to NMEA 0183 or to bring their SeaTalk data to a PC, Mac or Linux system.

E85001 converter from Raymarine is no longer available and although some instrument systems are equipped with NMEA0183 interfaces, they do not always convert all data and require an additional NMEA to USB adapter.

SeaTalk NMEA converter from Digital Yacht is a small but powerful device for bidirectional data exchange between a SeaTalk network and the USB interface of a computer. Power is supplied from the SeaTalk network. The converter has a multi-transistor interface and a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, optically isolated NMEA 0183 data input and differential NMEA 0183 data output, which ensures reliable data exchange between SeaTalk and computer.

and advanced users who want to access the raw SeaTalk data can set the converter to a special $STALK mode, which has already found favor with some open source projects.

SeaTalk-NMEA converter is ideal for computers with USB and compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux systems. An ISO version of the ST-NMEA converter is also available for networking with NMEA0183 systems.
