compass data is and remains a fundamental requirement for navigation in shipping. That's why our fluxgate compass is a very important tool at sea. Using fluxgate technology, the HSC100 Compass sensors deliver this data to your on-board systems. This enables typical applications such as course-up and TrueMotion displays on chart plotters as well as radar overlays on electronic charts and radar stabilization using MARPA/ARPA homing. When networked with logs and GPS, this compass data also enables the integrated on-board systems to accurately calculate tide and drift.

Many

other affordable Compass sensors have a data output rate of only 1Hz (1× per second). In comparison, the HSC100 outputs data at a rate of 10Hz. This rate is particularly required for MARPA target tracking and a precise radar overlay (part number ZDIGHSC100).

Digital

Yacht has now also developed a new version of the HSC100 Compass sensors' rate of turn. This allows it to output the HDT and ROT message protocols processed by Class A transponders and Sensors. For non-commercial shipping, this is a simple and cost-effective solution for transmitting heading data and rate of turn to a Class A transponder (part number ZDIGHSC100T).

With its waterproof housing (IPx7), the HSC100 can also be mounted externally on steel vessels. Using the automatic calibration mode, you can align the device so that it subsequently compensates for Other magnetic influences. To do this, circles must be driven at a constant speed. Once the calibration process has been carried out, the display is accurate to within 0.5 degrees.
