Digital Yacht GPS160 with Furuno data output

The GPS160 series is a high performance GPS suitable for use with chart plotters. Digital Yacht has introduced a special version of the GPS160, the GPS with Furuno data output. As a Simple replacement for older Furuno plotters and GPS systems. Devices such as the Furuno GP32, Navnet and GPS310/320 use a special format for GPS data and this new sensor emulates this for Simple compatibility. However, some of these older GPS sensors have experienced technical problems with the conversion of the GPS system, which can render chartplotter systems unusable. The GPS160F therefore offers an economical and reliable solution to these problems. In collaboration with Furuno UK, Digital Yacht has developed a special version of the popular GPS160 Smart GNSS Sensor "TriNav" that outputs the older NMEA 0183 sentences and data formats that can be read by the older Furuno systems. Now, if a Furuno customer has a problem with their existing Furuno GPS (GP310/GP320/GP32/etc.), they can use the new GPS160F as a Simple "drop-in" replacement for their failed position sensor. Furthermore, we have tested the new GPS160F with a variety of legacy Furuno products, including the original NavNet MFDs, NavNet VX2, M1735 Radar, GP7000 and the FCV family of echo sounders. Furthermore, the GPS160F comes with 10 meters of Cables and a new User Manual with specific Furuno interface information. Finally, it works right out of the box and requires only a simple 4-wire connection to the existing Furuno system.
