AIS receiver or transponder requires a VHF antennas. However, with the new SPL2000 VHF antenna splitter from Digital Yacht, an existing antenna can be used simultaneously for VHF, FM and AIS radio and even an AM/FM radio. Unlike many other, simpler antenna splitters, the SPL2000 is also suitable for Class B transponders.
