Digital Yacht AIT2500 CLASS B+Transponder

EAN: 081159830830
Digital Yacht has introduced a new range of Class B+ AIS transponders. Class B+, a new standard, uses SOTDMA format transmissions that offer 5W of power (2.5x stronger than a normal Class B), a guaranteed transmission window in high traffic areas and faster update rates depending on vessel speed. It is ideal for ocean-going sailors who need the best possible performance and future-proof satellite tracking applications, fast powerboats and smaller, non-mandated commercial vessels. It continues to work with existing Class B and Class A systems.
Regulations for the use of 5W SOTDMA Class B+ transponders normally require the mounting of a separate Antennas. This ultra-compact Class B+ transponder has three outputs: NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 and USB connection.
With itsUSB interface, the AIT2500 can be programmed or used as a PC/Mac-controlled navigation system and is compatible with both the NavLink app and SmarterTrack PC software from Digital Yacht.
Installation is simple - simply connect the power supply (12/24v), mount the supplied external GPS antenna and connect it to our ,SPL1500 or SPL2000 AIS VHF antennas splitters ,to a separate dedicated VHF antenna or to the existing ,VHF antennas of the. The AIT2500 can also be networked with the NavLink Gateway to transmit data to a tablet or iPad.

NOTICEON SOTDMA TECHNOLOGY Class
B+ is a new generation of AIS functionality based on SOTDMA (self-organized TMDA) messaging rather than the simpler CSTDMA (carrier sense TDMA). It guarantees that your AIS transmission gets a time window, even in areas with very high traffic density. It also specifies a 5W transmission power (compared to 2W for Class B) and a transmission rate that increases as the speed of the vessel increases. With normal Class B protocol, the transmission rate is fixed every 30 seconds as the vessel moves. It is ideal for ocean-going sailors, ,fast motorboats and smaller, non-mandated commercial vessels that require the best possible performance and future-proof satellite tracking applications.
