The regulations for the use of Class B transponders normally require the installation of a separate Antennas. This is not necessary for our AIS transponder with NMEA 2000 AIT1500NK.

The AIT1500 can be programmed or used as a computer-controlled navigation system

GPS signals penetrate plastic, Glasses and fiber-reinforced plastic. This means you can also install the AIT1500 below deck in many cases. However, a separate VHF antennas or a suitable antenna splitter such as the SPL2000 are required. The AIT1500N2K can also be networked with the NavLink gateway to transmit data to a tablet or iPad.
