The BUKH Beta lifeboat diesel engines set new standards for low exhaust emissions and help reduce pollution at sea.

They meet the Tier standards, which have been made technically possible by the installation of pre-combustion chamber injection instead of common rail/unit injection. This eliminates the need for vulnerable Electronics to control fuel quantities and improves operational reliability. Thanks to this design, the Motors were able to pass and receive US Coast Guard approval for use as lifeboat engines.
